The Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation has awarded a $42,700.00 grant to Housing Partnership Inc. for “Ramps United.” The “Ramps United” project is a joint project between two partner agencies of the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula (UWVP): House Partnerships, Inc., and Gloucester Housing Partnership. The $42,700 will pay for approximately 12 handicap ramps to be constructed to assist those with disabilities in accessing their home. The mission of the Gloucester Housing Partnership (GHP) is clear: help keep Gloucester residents warm, SAFE and dry in their homes.​In 2017, GHP completed projects for 31 qualified residents whose homes required critical repairs. Thanks to community support, the Gloucester Housing Partnership non-profit completed more than 30 housing repair projects totaling nearly $70,000 for needy citizens. The Gloucester Housing Partnership (GHP) made a significant impact in the county in 2017, completing projects for 31 qualified residents whose homes required critical repairs to make them warm, safe and accessible.
